Mall of the Emirates, Dubai

Mall of the Emirates was opened in 2005 and features 2.2 million sf of retail space. It is not the largest mall in Dubai, but really the brand behind Dubai's shopping allure. Anchored by the world's largest indoor ski hill, the center has a strong tourist draw.

The atrium is undoubtedly one of the more impressive features of the shopping center. The overall design is one that will likely age gracefully as it contains a lot of traditional design elements.

To this day, it remains one of my favourite malls in the world. It was designed by one of my favourite architects, Andy Feola of F%26ampamp;A architecture based out of Venice Beach, LA.
